When the sun sleeps
The charms of veiled destiny speak
I stop my ears with flower petals
Hum a dandelion tune
Wishing there was more to loneliness than this
How whimsically fragile these glassy panes of soul
Susceptible to reflection, refraction, distortion
Of quiet memories and colored thoughts
Masquerading as my life, my blood
I fall prey to myself
Cross the river once again
Paying the toll of forgetfulness
For now, the past is a bitter fare
So don’t ask me why the raindrops
Don’t advise me about the moon
For this is just why I’ve come here
To make a liar of my doom
I hear the song of flowers
I taste the starry sky
And sit in company of my destiny
Eating dandelion pie
